The SAUMA-Etalon VSD is the universal variable speed drive that efficiently and safely operates a variety of systems including conventional ESP induction motors, high efficiency permanent magnet motors (PMM), the wide range wear resistant (WR2) pumping system and the PMM – progressive cavity pumping system. The SAUMA-Etalon is equipped with the advanced software that targets challenging well conditions. The software features include but are not limited to gas lock detection, hard to start/stuck pumps and scale build up prevention. Also, custom programing is available for specific/challenging projects. The SAUMA-Etalon has an integrated enhanced sine wave filter which reduces rig time and footprint. It also provides a near sinusoidal electrical waveform to the downhole equipment and delivers one of highest efficiency electrical VSD systems.
Safety is a prime focus; all internal parts are TOUCHSAFE (IP20 equivalent), the disconnect switch is mounted inside the input junction box, hence no power will be present in the drive cabinet when the switch is off. Also, an integral control box mounted to the side allows SCADA, Analog and Digital I/O interconnections easy access without having to open the drive cabinet door where high voltage is present.
Keeping in the SAUMA-Etalon family the same HMI is utilized for control with minor menu changes thus minimizing the learning curve for ease of use. The SAUMA-Etalon is fully EC and GOST certified VSD in a IP54/NEMA3R or IP66/NEMA4 cabinet and can be manufactured up to IP66 enclosure rating.
Drive ratings range from 63 Amps to 1837 Amps and will be offered initially in 6, 12, 18 or 24 pulse for harmonic mitigation with 380 Vac or 480 Vac ratings.

MEDIUM-VOLTAGE VARIABLE DRIVE
MVD is a complete product that provides the whole range of motor protection and control, smooth start (braking) and speed control of an asynchronous or permanent magnet motor for a electric submersible pump. The principle of operation of MVD is based on the conversion of electrical energy of a three-phase AC network with a voltage of 6 kV 50 Hz into a three-phase voltage with adjustable voltage and frequency. U/f control methods may vary for different mechanisms.

Remote Control System ETALON RCS
Etalon RCS is a software package that allows remote Etalon switchboards monitoring and control via Internet. Switchboard is communicated by the GPRS modem. The modem must have a SIM card with enabled GPRS Internet. The modem establishes wireless connection with RCS server and transmits data from/to it. The data is encrypted. At normal level of mobile network signal data shall be updating every second.
Remote control is performing from shared center and can cover both individual wells, clusters and entire oilfields. Remote monitoring and control system enables the following:
- remote engine start and stop;
- settings and parameters review;
- settings and operation modes changes;
- downloading history archive files of control system operation;
- emergency stop reasons and reasons preventing engine start;
- uploading new software version for switchboard’s controller.
Using Etalon RCS can offer additional opportunities to improve efficiency of formation fluid recovery than manual control, such as:
- remote configuration for normal operation and stable flow rate production;
- time reduction to achieve maximum flow rate;
- number of stops and downtime duration reduction based on switchboard information to operator emergency warning subsystem;
- manual labour reduction directly at wells.
System capabilities make it possible to analyze history data characterizing switchboard operation, such as:
- key activities during operation and idle time of electrical submersible motor (start, stop, emergency);
- measurement data received from DHS, energy meter, analog signal measurement unit, and power equipment;
