SAUMA Permanent Magnet Motors is a one of the perspective submersible motors which allows customers to save electricity and installation components in comparison to a conventional submersible motors
Unlike asynchronous motors, the Permanent Magnet Motor (PMM) has permanent magnets on the rotor and a special scheme for voltage supply to the stator winding.
The PMM can be used where asynchronous motors application is difficult:
- When the motor speed is regulated within wide range, (from 500 to 6000 rpm).
- In the cyclical operation mode of the ESP (with frequent starts and stops).
- As electric drives with a low speed of 100-500 rpm. (for pumps for high viscosity oil production).
- When using an electric motor in a single section application with relatively large power is preferable.
- When motor of high power is needed but casing diameter is less than 89 mm.
